Hi, hello there Tinder. I’ve been banned from my profile linked to MY Facebook and MY phone number without any explanation as to why, only a list of the “Terms of use”. It doesn’t give me a general idea of why my profile is banned from you. So I would really like some insight as to why. I’m not complaining or upset about it bc it’s a dating site and there are plenty others, Tinder isn’t worth crying over. I WAS having a nice conversation with a boy last July but for some reason I couldn’t sign back in when I never signed out. I gave up. So yesterday, I tried to sign in thinking it was just a glitch or error, nope, apparently I am banned. What does someone have to do to get banned from a stupid dating site???? - aggravated 🤷🏽‍♀️😒

The app has so much potential but it’s constantly crashing, freezing, and just buggy in general to where it’s too annoying to use.
  • Upgraded my account then got banned for no reason

I made a profile and got the gold version, because I like more privacy etc. which they were supposed to just add on the difference to the premium I got, but charged me twice. I didn’t have any inappropriate pictures up I matched with a few people and had normal conversations. I exchanged numbers with one person and he said he couldn’t see my profile anymore and I went back on and saw I was banned. No warning, no refund and no reason. I normally don’t write bad reviews but they robbed me. I didn’t even have swear words in my bio. I looked under their terms and I violated none of them and of course they won’t get back to me about a refund. They also messed up my messages terribly before banning me, people were showing up under the wrong messages and switching around, that’s why I had to give out my number in the first place. Honesty last time I was single I loved this app but this is ridiculous and I’m furious.

    Just what the subject says
  • Terrible support, and faulty subscription.

I was having an interesting experience on this app, until I decided to subscribe to the gold membership. I didn’t want to have limited swipes and the supers were cool. I went from several matches a day, to none at all. I suppose this could be that I suddenly grew undesirable, but I also found many features to not be working. So I went to the forums and found several people were having this same issue, and attempted to troubleshoot. Nothing worked, so I contacted support and they only sent me generic responses and then started to ignore me after several attempts to find a solution. Also, when I ask for a refund for the faulty services they provided, they of course ignored me. I strongly suggest avoiding membership/subscription, if you’re matching and things are working then just stick with the free version, because something with the membership ruined my account algorithm. Maybe just pay for a few super likes if you want, but I’d stay clear of giving money to this app until they can work on their support. Waste of money, and very unprofessional.
  • Less Matches after Upgrading

I’ve been on tinder since the start of it 5/6 years ago. I have to say it’s an app that everyone uses and has. Period. Not withstanding the fact the new upgrades make it quite enticing to get these “perks” I began noticing less activity and thought of why from my business owner mindset that upgrading comes with a price more than $14.99. After trying my theory several times / ways I have no doubt but to believe that once you purchase gold your activity drops significantly. Let’s be honest, Respectfully, tinder is here to make money, they don’t care if you match or not, they are a business and revenue is the goal. They want everyone to purchase their upgrades. But once you do so, you’re now checked off the list as paid or paying and you therefore are lucky to get a match or two or see new “who liked you” once or twice a week if you’re active on the app. So you buy boosts to make up the lack of activity and next thing you know tinder is making 50-75 dollars off you a month. If you’re not paying they aren’t making money, so they show your profile to everyone and anyone and even without swiping your “likes you” number is as high as 25+ in just a few hours. Obviously you wanna know who it is but without paying you can’t. They apply this algorithm until you pay. That’s really the only way to enjoy tinder successfully. Unfortunately if everyone upgraded and got to be seen by everyone first tinder would stop making money eventually. Take it upon yourself to make that choice. Just my opinion of course. I respect the business model and algorithm but I’ve been single for too long lol and clearly it proves the theory that you don’t need to pay to find love. Just gotta be patient ;) hopefully they find a way to balance out the attention between paying and non paying members. It might cover up the unappealing factor of upgrading.
  • I recommend a Hard Pass on this app. Don’t get your money stolen.

I actually had a tinder account for close to 8 years never had any issues and met a couple great people off of it. and really liked the app. However recently I prepaid for 6 months in November and about a month ago after having an account so many years with no issues all of a sudden my account was disabled and canceled. I reached out to them to ask why and they couldn’t give me a response nor would they refund my money. I never found out what guidelines I failed to follow. And they tell you they don’t have a team that will look into it for you if some thing happens they just say o well and you lose your money. So pass on this app before randomly for no reason or a reason they can’t provide you get your account shut down and lose any money you paid. It’s simply not worth it.
