Description

Auxy is designed to let you focus on your music instead of dealing with complicated features. Our goal is to make the process of going from idea to song sketch or finished track as smooth as possible. WHY AUXY ”Auxy is my favorite way to get what's going on in my brain into a musical format. It's simple on the surface but with tremendous depth if you need it" - RAC “The automation is terrific. I'm doing things with Auxy I wouldn't easily do with my DAW. The design style is insanely smart and forward-thinking. It's productive for me to use, but i've also shown it to children who have been able to have fun making real music. It's the best new audio product I've seen in a long time.” - Madeon “The thing we love about Auxy is how it uses technology to let people be creative, without letting that technology get in the way.” - Apple Design Awards CREATE AND MIX LOOPS Make melodies and beats with the industry-leading note editor—carefully designed to make the step from idea to music as smooth as possible. Now it’s obviously just a cash grab. Seems they’ve gone the way of EA. It was cool while it lasted.
  • Formerly our favorite app

Before this app went subscription based my son and I loved it. Now he has his own iPad and the free version is a major disappointment from the collection of sounds I had paid to unlock permanently before the change.
  • Songs gone after reinstallation

I have a huge problem with the app right now. I have a 16 Gig iPhone SE and I don't have allot of storage to toy around with, so typically I delete the app entirely so that i have space for other things and then i reinstall the app when i want to continue making music. I have never had a problem doing this previously; my songs are always recovered in perfect condition because of the cloud save feature, but recently I had reinstalled the app to find NONE of my songs on the app. I tried reinstalling multiple times and my Auxy still only displays the demo songs. I bought a few packs before they switched to the whole subscription service so I tried recovering my purchases to see if that would make them come back... my purchased packs were restored as expected, but not the songs. What gives? Ive been using the same phone ever since I first started using the app and i have done nothing to my cloud or my account so clearly its something to do with the app. Im giving the app a one star rating not because its bad, but because all my hard work is now erased due to some kind of flaw with the cloud recovery system. I definitely recommend the app but Im going to have to step away from Auxy for good until I get some sort of “light of hope” from the developers or anyone on the Auxy team that my songs are going to be recovered.

The stupid subscription is why I rated it one star

First thing, amazing concept and good to great execution. Fun to doodle with, and perhaps even rough out the basics of a professional project. That having been said.... Subscription based app that will discourage developing artists from exploring their skills by locking them into a single ecosystem. Leaves me personally with a bad taste in my mouth, not interested in ever purchasing anything else from the developer, and all with a collection of sounds easily created in other open source apps. And last, not enough updated functionality to even warrant a subscription in general. If it had weekly sound and bi-monthly functionality additions it might be worth a couple bucks a year, but as it stands, not the case. Standard case of the subscription addiction spreading across the app developers of the world. Would have happily paid 5 to 10 bucks for the app and good sound library, and .99 every so often for new themed libraries of sounds. Give people a month free trial and then sell them on a single price model even, but stop with making everything a subscription folks, or eventually we all will just unsubscribe... but still, fun novelty I pick up now and then in the loo.

So it all started when I got the app (a long time ago) I made a nice song and it was all fine and I loved the app. Then one day I updated the app and all the sudden EVERYTHING has to be paid for!!! I would understand they want to make money and all but al least let me edit the song I made! After the editors response: Even if there is a grace Peroid they should let you edit maybe just ONE of your many songs for free after the peroid. Again I understand they want to make money, but I just want one song for my YouTube channel then maybe do some little edits after I post it. Now I can’t even post it because the song ends too quick. Over all I think there needs to be a little more for the free side on the app. Then people can like the app enough to buy it. For me there is very little that interests me to buy it because of the fact that one day I couldn’t do any edits to a song that took me hours to make!
  • F*ckin’ ruined the app

Before the latest updates, this app was awesome and I actually liked the music I was making. Now, it is much worse. There are only ten melodic sounds and only two freakin drum patches. Now I have no desire to use this app. All my old songs are now locked and I can’t edit them unless I pay $5.00 a month. I understand that they need to make money but but they pretty much took away everything good from this app. The only reason I still have it is for the music I made. You’d probably be better off spending your money on something actually useful for producing music instead of this sh*t.
  • Capable and so Myopic

They knowingly choose to ignore the beauty of the iOS environment; that being inter-app integration. No IAA NOR AUDIOBUS support. Somehow they see the validity of ableton link which clearly implies use with other apps but ignore actual audio routing needs. Companies like this that don’t see the worth of collaboration with other developers create customers who are forced to evolve past their platform regardless of their customers desire to do so. Case on point how do I record vocals on my Auxy tracks. How do I use a different reverb, Because the auxy reverb is so basic?
  • I will never subscribe! responsive developer

Developers read reviews and respond which deserves an extra star. I apologize for not addressing developer's response previously. i have and would gladly pay for sound packs. Of course the best would be a one time iap for sample import. $10 sounds fair to me. your sequencer is top notch. clearly people like your work, but dont want to subscribe.
