Description

Life Cycle - Track your time automatically From the team that brought you Sleep Cycle, we've created another app that helps you automatically track your day. Life Cycle automatically keeps track of your time and presents your life sorted into slices. It shows you your daily activities, places you go, and who you spend time with. Whether you’re just curious of how your time is spent or looking to make a change, Life Cycle is your daily companion, providing you with all the information and insights you need. What’s more - it uses only 1% of your phone’s battery while it seamlessly does the work. MAIN FEATURES FREE * Automatic - Life Cycle works in the background, recording and sorting what you do as you go about your daily business. * Less than 1% of your battery per day - Life Cycle uses less than 1% of your battery per day as it runs in the background. * From a day to a year - view your life day by day, week by week, month by month or even year by year. * Fully integrated with Apple Health. Imports Steps and Sleep Analysis data. * Friends - Connect with your friends on Facebook and see who you’re spending time with, what you’re doing and where. * Sleep Cycle connection - For accurate sleep data, connect with Sleep Cycle alarm clock through Apple Health. (Life Cycle only reads data from Health, it does not share any data. It reads Sleep Analysis and Steps data.) PREMIUM * Connect to your Sleep Cycle account - If you have an online backup account with Sleep Cycle, Life Cycle will let you know how your daily habits affect your sleep quality score. * Backup - Keep your data safe with our backup system. Never worry about losing your Life Cycle logs again. * Graphs - Beyond the donuts, Life Cycle also shows you in detailed graphs for deeper analysis, what you’re doing with your time. Just by looking at the visuals, you’ll gain insights on if you're doing what's really important to you. * Compare trends - see if you’re dropping in sleep hours, if you’re working too much or if you’ve taken longer walks this week. Compare trends over the weeks, months or years. BATTERY CONSUMPTION Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Life Cycle does not use the GPS in the background, but instead relies on cell tower and Wi-Fi locations. As a result, it consumes less than 1% of your battery per day, when the app runs in the background. REQUIREMENTS * Life Cycle needs to run in the background to be able to record your data. It only uses 1% of your battery per day when doing so. * You need to carry your phone with you, for Life Cycle to accurately record and interpret your activities. * Wi-Fi should be enabled on your phone for tracking to work. The optional Premium subscription costs $9.99 per year. Should you choose to subscribe to Life Cycle Premium, the purchase will be charged to your iTunes account. You can manage or cancel your auto-renewable subscription by entering the user settings in iTunes after the purchase. The subscription will be auto-renewed 24 hours before the subscription period ends, with the same kind of subscription you already bought, to the same price. It's not possible to abort the subscription during the time it's active. However, is it hard to implement a map with location points for us to visually see where we have been throughout the day?
  • Feature request!

Love this app! Best life tracking app I’ve used. It’s ability to geo-fence locations and automatically log activities is unparalleled. Unlike other life tracking apps there is no need for starting and stopping timers that you will inevitably forget. This app works perfectly in the background letting me concentrate on what I’m doing. I’ve started using this app as a journal to track my daily habits, I think it’s a great way to get some deep analytics on how I spend my time. Being said I have some feature requests! 1. It would be great to have some more visualizations other than the doughnut. The ring is effective, however comparing info might be more efficient with other sorts of graphs. Maybe a timeline! 2. I would love to see developing doughnuts or graphs on the week/month/year pages instead of “Collecting data...” 3. Being able to search and sort notes would be extremely useful. I’ve started using this app as a journal, at the end of my day I fill in the notes to give more detail about activities. It would be awesome to search through notes for quick access to info such as what day I did a specific activity. 5. It’s awesome that I can link this to Sleep Cycle to get more data about how my sleep habits are effected by life. Linking to an exercise app, such as Runkeeper, to get better data about my runs, walks, hikes, health, etc. would provide even more useful data! 4. Contact page could be easier to find. I would email all this but best I could figure out is leaving a review here on the App Store. Thanks!

Messes up on IOS 11. It shows I have been at the local pharmacy most of yesterday and today. Was only there 1 hour today. Is there a bug?

automatically tracks your life based on location. so if you work from home or really close by, and you mostly entertain yourself at home too, it won’t even work, or it’ll just say you spend the whole day at “home”. again useless for those who work at home and introverts
  • Is Premium $4.99 or $9.99?

I subscribed to Premium in 2017, assuming it would auto-renew as I was told. It did not. Now when I click to upgrade, I see a free 30-day trial and then $9.99/year. However, in the fine print it says $4.99/annually and the app indicates both prices for paid subscription. So, which is it? And the premium features are barely more than the free version. I used to like like Life Cycle, and I could typically ignore its quirks about location. But now, I’m finding myself not enjoying it. Transportation is a huge flaw (for me). If I use the auto-defined commute to work, the app can’t tell me stops I make on my way home. I had to create a new Work activity for that to happen. I also can’t determine the length of time I need to be somewhere for it to pick up the activity. It shows as little as 5 minutes for some, but others where I stayed 8-15 minutes somehow don’t appear. I haven’t noticed any great improvements in the last 12-18 months, and can’t justify $10 a year just for online backup.

This app looks and feels fancy! It’s cool using it. There were a few rough spots for the first few days where it didn’t quite understand where I was, but after those one or two times, everything after that is pretty cool. If only I could integrate when I’ve booted up my gaming console!
  • collecting data. Come back (3 days from now) to see the result!

Im sorry, i’m peeved at the fact this app needs 2-3 days prior to download to work, i dont think im leaving it on my phone, that's too long to get started having it to decide whether or not i like it.

I’ve been using this app for about a year and it has been pretty good. However recently the app has been screwing up more and more. It sometimes shows me at the geographical location of my home (correct) but says I am eating at a taco place five miles away. It is also telling me I have gone on five hour walks. I know I haven’t been doing that! I am on v2.0.2.4022
  • Great but can still be improved

I love this app, I've been working two jobs over the summer and it's helped me keep track of how many hours I've been working and how much time I've spent driving or sitting at home. There are still a few areas that can be improved however. The weekly view would be way better if it updated each day instead of at the end of every week. The statistics can sometimes be really stupid, it'll tell me I've slept 6% more on a Sunday or something like that, who gives a crap about 6%? it's tiny. I think it would also be a good idea for there to be a map that shows your daily activities like the google maps timeline. Lastly I think it should track the routes you take each day. Update: After recent updates the weekly view now gets updated automatically, the statistics are much better, but I really think the map showing your activities would be a really good idea. I also think that the donut should be more like a timeline, in order, rather than chunks of different activities throughout your day.
