Description

Hudway Go is a simple GPS navigation app for drivers. It keeps it very intuitive and non-distracting, displaying just the outline of the road you’re driving and your next manoeuvre. *** "Hudway is one of the cleverest driving apps we've seen" — CNET "Hudway app is unbelievably cool for one special reason: It actually lets you see your directions and route right on your windshield" — USA Today "Hudway HUD tool will remind you nothing less than a science fiction movie that you watched recently" — crazyengineers.com "HUDWAY turns your windshield into a jet fighter cockpit" — digitaltrends.com *** HUDWAY Go helps you drive safer in fog, rain, heavy snow, in dusk and darkness. Create a route and place your smartphone on the dashboard — you’ll see the route reflected on your windshield. Keep your eyes on the road and know in advance what’s ahead — a straight run, or a ramp-turn. This is especially handy when driving between cities. Features: - Intuitive 3D map, simple navigation - Voice Assistance - Speed limits - Long tap on the map to set the destination - Fuel consumption calculation - Transit points - Search for addresses and POI - Choose alternative routes - Drive offline right after you start - The app will recalculate the route if you leave it - Classic GPS map navigation mode - Head-up display (HUD) mode - Trip info: ETA, speed, distance traveled, directions on the next manoeuvre, and more - Based on OpenStreetMap (OSM) Note: If you face any problems or find any bugs, please email us at support@hudwayapp.com or report the bug right from the app. We appreciate your feedback! Attention! 1. On a clear day, the device screen brightness is typically insufficient to give a decent reflection for HUD mode. In that situation, you can use the app in standard mode with the phone fixed with some mount, OR stay HUD using our HUDWAY Glass accessory (learn more about it at hudwayglass.com). At night, in dusk, or in dull weather the reflection is normally well-discernible. 2. When driving, make sure that your smartphone or tablet is well fixed in some mount or on some sticky pad, and doesn't prevent you from clearly seeing the road. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Note about the auto-renewing premium subscription: — The auto-renewing subscription is available on yearly basis for USD $2.99 — Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase — Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period — Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal — Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase — No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period — Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication. Got this app to use with VIZR HUD. Very disappointed, if there is a way to adjust the settings in the app it is not intuitive at all. Can’t switch between MPH and KPH. Tried entering my work address as a saved address and it took the wrong address but then there was no obvious way of editing the address to fix it. App doesn’t include traffic for free like any of the other fantastic navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze. Needless to say I deleted the app and I am returning the HUD because you can’t use it without the app. Very disappointing.

App does not play through Bluetooth in car. Also does not allow me to adjust volume through phone. Thirdly, the speed limit shown on road is wrong. The speed limit shown was 55mph but the post limit is 35mph. If this was an unfamiliar road I would have gotten a ticket. The ETA for a supermarket near my home was 20 minutes. I know it only takes 5 minutes to get there. Not sure why there is a discrepancy. Especially since the app thought the speed limit was 55 miles an hour. Waze does all of the things above for free. Why did I have to pay for premium access that does not feel premium?

The navigation system will tell me to keep left on every highway exit I pass, it really annoys me because I always go to the very left of the lane due to this issue.
  • Can’t get it to landscape mode

I wanted to try the “free” version before upgrading and it seems to be doing its job except for being in portrait mode. It refuses to get in landscape mode. Out of 100 tries, maybe once it will get in landscape but I can’t replicate. Is there an setting in the app that I’m not aware of? Yup, phone is set up correctly.
  • Maps won’t even load.

If you have a cover on your phone it will not stay in place on the VIZR. The instructions are so incomplete it is pathetic. How do I send my back?
  • Inaccurate ETA and missing option to avoid Tolls

It appears to me that the ETA is calculated by the average speed of the trip: before hitting the highway, a 20-minute trip to the Airport should be estimated to be costing a few hours. The ETA shrinks and shrinks as I speed up, after hitting the highway. Also, I did not find option to avoid tolls, let alone avoiding dirt roads etc. Be warned that this NAVivgation App should only offer the most basic navigation. The App needs major upgrade to make it user-friendly.

I was reading some reviews as I also had no luck using your app. I noticed two different people with the same review text. Both rating the app 5 stars. I call it a "foul". Apple should remove your App Store.
  • Wonkey operation.

I have the premium version. When I put in my miles per gallon of 14.1 it changes it to 4.4. When I put in the cost of gas it changes it to $78 per gallon. It shows that the street speed limit is 65mph when it is actually 35. Weird app. Sorry I wasted my money on it.
