The New Yorker Today app is the best way to stay on top of news and culture every day, and the magazine each week. Features: • Get a daily blend of in-depth reporting, political commentary, cultural criticism, and humor from the website. • Read each week’s magazine and browse past issues. • Receive alerts on breaking-news coverage by your favorite New Yorker writers and notifications about major pieces in the magazine. • Flip through a nearly endless supply of New Yorker cartoons using the Cartoon Randomizer tab • Access The New Yorker Sticker Pack: download the app, add the extension to iMessage, and liven up your texts with Christoph Niemann’s signature drawings and animations of city life • Read articles offline and bookmark long reads to finish later The app is free to download. Subscribers receive unlimited access. Non-subscribers may access a limited number of articles each month. Most current New Yorker subscribers have unlimited access to the app as part of their existing subscription. Subscribers with a print-only subscription may not have unlimited access. Users who have trouble accessing unlimited stories, or who wish to upgrade their access level may call Customer Service at 1-800-967-2082. All users have unlimited access to the Cartoon Randomizer, which does not count toward the article limit for non-subscribers. All users have unlimited access to the Sticker Pack, which is free to download and requires iOS 10 or above. A subscription costs $8.99 a month or $89.99 annually, and includes a 30-day free trial, after which it will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period and will state the cost of renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. The New Yorker Today app requires iOS 9 or above. I didn’t think anyone could make such mess of their on line presence. Congrats you did it! Sign in process is the worst I’ve ever seen UI is so pedestrian I thought I’d taken a trip back to 2003. I won’t be renewing my subscription
  • Can't get iPad articles

  • BEWARE. Impossible to cancel!! Don’t Subscribe.

I subscribed to “New Yorker Today” app while waiting for my full 2-year paper subscription to begin. When that started up, I linked the paper and online accounts. Guess what? New Yorker STILL charges me the $8.99 per month. And their support staff refuses to cancel and provide me with a refund for (so far) seven months of billing for the online digital online service which is supposedly included with the analog paper subscription. New Yorker refers me to Apple Store to cancel. Impossible. Apple refers me to New Yorker. An airtight loop. No cancellation. No refund. Great publication. Kleptocratic subscription trap. HELP..HELP!!

  • Longtime fan but frustrated app user

The app is unstable. Frequently informs me that I am not a subscriber, which is fake information Get a student from Bronx Science to resolve the difficulties with the long troubled app Your problem might be that The New Yorker is overwhelming the app with too much content

  • Feb 6 version crashes upon launch on iOS 10

    By berndtvon
This on an iPad mini 4 IOS 10.3.3. Not willing to install on iPad Pro on IOS 11.2.5 due to his behavior. Update 2.10.18 Thanks to developers for fixing crash on IOS 10. Now working as before. Note to developers-please don't automatically suggest upgrading to latest iOS to resolve an issue. Considering iOS 11 runs slowly on a mini 4 an iOS upgrade is not a solution. Instead join us mini users in asking Apple to make a mini5 with faster processor.
  • Cartoons

    By Markj111
I can’t read the cartoons on my iPad Pro. I can see the first one, but cannot get past that page. I called the New Yorker, but the lady I spoke with was useless.
