  • I’m a man’s man (a.k.a. Big tough stubborn dummy)

    Imagine any and every toxic masculinity thing a person could say/think about meditation -I’ve said and thought it. But I’d spent years walking around, feeling like a bag of broken glass. I was just as dangerous to myself as i was to others. I had to try something and since I’m a lunatic I don’t have a job or healthcare that can let me afford therapy or counseling. So I googled. And google suggested this Simple Habit meditation app. I’m on the free level and I’ve only been doing it for a week but I LOVE IT. My wife has commented that I’m acting different (and after I asked her about it she admitted she meant I was acting “better”). And I’m noticing too. I’m happier and less jagged. Not fixed but less broken. I hope I keep up the practice :)
  • Where is “meditation of the day” now?

    Loved this app until a recent upgrade. I used to be very excited get up early to try the free “meditation of the day” which gives free teachings & insight of various therapists. But after this recent upgrade, it’s nowhere to be found. I am so disappointed. Will delete it soon.

    I missed a very important meeting in NYC because I fell asleep listening to a sleep meditation on this app and woke up to my phone being stuck on the app with an error saying “Oops something went wrong” which prevented my phone alarm from waking me up TWO HOURS ago. This happened once before but I disregarded it because it was on a weekend and it was not big deal, I didn’t think it would happen again. This app and its random errors isn’t worth me loosing a job.

    I have tried many different meditation apps but nothing quit as spectacular as this one.You can set daily reminders, search what you want to find AND it has very good meditations for sleeping😄😄😄
  • Intro Noises

    It plays annoying high pitches noises before and after each and every session. This app is more annoying than it is helpful. They insist on playing intro and outro noises before and after every single meditation (because they want to brand their meditations) and it’s the most annoying repetitive sound and it makes this app unbearable, and it’s counter productive towards meditating. Most of these can be found online where the authors just edit out the annoying simple habit noise.
