Have tried multiple times to scan pictures, following the dot with it sometimes working sometimes not working but mostly a big waste of time. Sad to see google putting out a piece of junk like this because I’m big fan of Google

  • Great For Photo Archiving

This is an amazing app! It lets you easily use your phones camera to “scan” physical photos. It auto detects the edges of the photo, works best if you put the photo on a contrasting surface (I.e. light surface for dark photo and dark surface for a light photo), so you don’t have to spend hours cropping the edges. You can then save the photos to your device or in the cloud. This is great for finally getting those old family photos online without having to mess with a printer/scanner and without paying someone else an arm and a leg!

  • Why all the 4 and 5 star reviews?

I don’t get it. Why so many positive reviews? I’ve used the app about 50 times now. In about 30 cases, it crashed before completing the scan. In another 10-15 cases, the four circles you are meant to line up on were inches away from the photo, with no overlap whatsoever on the photo itself. So far, I have been able to successfully scan only five photos. This app is trash.
  • Needs a caption option

Great app. I do wish it had a caption option so you have a description of the photo. Or a truly interactive option that would record sound. We used this to scan old family photos and it either of the above options would’ve been great to have while elder relatives were telling us the story of the photos. But again, great app.

The app worked really well the couple of times I used it. But the last time out crashed and now won't start even after I force quit the app.

I really love this app. It’s perfect for quickly digitizing old photos and important image documents. I do wish that the design would be updated for the iPhone X, though. 😬

Easy to use but needs more explanation on how to properly use it.
