Meet your Google Assistant. Ask it questions. Tell it to do things. It’s your own personal Google, always ready to help. Find answers and get things done while on-the-go with the help of your Google Assistant. Remind yourself to stop by the store, pull up your travel photos to show a friend, or make a dinner reservation. With the Assistant app, you can: - Make quick phone calls (e.g. "Call Mom.") - Send text messages (e.g. "Text my bestie.") - Email your boss (e.g. "Here is the latest TPS report.") - Set reminders (e.g. "Remind me to buy a birthday gift for Sarah.") - Set calendar events (e.g. "Set a calendar event for dinner with Charlie tomorrow from 7-9.") - Play music (e.g. "Play jazz music on YouTube.") - Navigate places (e.g. "Get me directions home.") - Weather information (e.g. "Do I need an umbrella today?") *Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

  • This passed Quality Control?

I can’t see the words on the screen when edit a reminder. I also can’t see the entire reminder in the reminders list. The list view is limited to about 5 words- with no way to expand it. It’s astonishing that that these issues have been present for months. Google has the most fantastic speech-to-text engine and some of Assistant’s features are incredible. It is dumbfounding that I encounter a basic issue- like not being able to see the text field and keyboard at the same time. • iPhone 6S iOS 10.0-11.4
  • Wally man.8

Love the app but I have something to say to Wallyman.8. First of all the olympics is not fair, they put down men and women of color because of their culture, what they look like, and how they talk or act. Norway only has gold medals because of the rich background the country possesses and the mostly white population. Second of all google is not denying the right to Asian or white men, they simply look for diversity, which America lacks of! Check your privilege.
  • Puts Siri to shame

    By Boaster
This app can do much more than Siri, but more importantly, it remembers context AND still works in a noisy environment where Siri often fails. For example, I can ask both Siri and Google “Who is Person X” and both will tell me. Then I can say “How old is he?” Siri has no idea what I’m talking about but Google remembers the context and gives me person X’s age.
  • Careful of the loops!

    By Ageekymom2
I played a trivia game (Talk Like a Chef) and got into a loop that required me to reinstall the app. Be warned!
  • What's wrong with the latest version?

    By lymanc
It's stuck on the loading, and the loading wheel becomes a dot. Nothing is trappable. Terrible bug.
  • Disappointed

    By Andy Koval
I have to pass captchas on your own app over and over again? Really?
  • Voice feedback not great.

    By adamczepeda
Clean interface and easy to use, however the supplied results from voice seem to be pretty far off and irrelevant to my questioning in most cases. I’ve made sure to articulate very clearly and have tried multiple times on some pretty general questions - nothing that would be intentionally trying to trick the feedback. Same issue trying to text by voice. Articulation is clear but the output is usually off. It becomes easier to text and search manually than use the voice feature. I’ve deleted the app as a result.
  • Useful, but...

Useful, but the app is slow to launch. It would be even better if the app was ready to listen quicker.
