Description

Description on Clare Hooper Fast-moving contemporary artist of british origin, obtained Exeter University degree 1978. Taught drama and physical education in London for a year before travelling to Europe and settling in Switzerland 1978 - 1979 teaching sports and choreography full-time. Moved to the Italian coast in 1992 where her art expression flourished and took on a different form - Large expressive abstract paintings. Dordrecht, Holland in 1997 Clare held her first exhibition and then after two years teaching in Rome opened her first gallery in San Felice Circeo in 1999. A second gallery opened in Porto Rotondo Sardinia, and numerous exhibitions followed in various corners of Europe. Hooper achieves with ease the transmission of vitality, speed, originality and inhibition to canvass with a unique playful use of colour. Expresses her love of life, joy and vigour, untamed, enthusing smiles, wonderment, or furrowed brows!!! Like music, it is immediate, has impact and something wild in its presentation, great for nig walls and corporate spaces, minimalistic environments in need of some warmth and mediterranean sunlight. She shares it. As an artist, she worked hard to develop paintings that not only speak to her but also others about the beauty that exists in it. Part of her process before she begins she reads as much as she can to recreate canvas .she do not merely want to capture the image with her brushes; rather with careful, colourful strokes, she want to give the society life once more. She tried with ever finishe work to breathe life into long forgotten culture so that its designs, ideas, innovations and lifestyle are displayed on canvas Art giclee printart print postcard poster art museum National gallery museum modern art gallery
