Find out why AppAdvice.com says: “The app is easy to use that in fact, it is fast-becoming my most-used app on my iPad.” Need to track your finances on multiple iPhones, iPads, iPods, other OS’s, or desktops? PocketMoney can do that, too. Sync multiple iOS or other OS’s devices together over Wi-Fi or to the PocketMoney desktop app on OS X, Windows, and Linux The system is simple, and a minute a day using PocketMoney will help you navigate through the pitfalls of the current economy. ** Start by entering all your income and expenses as they happen across multiple accounts such as credit cards, savings, and checking accounts. PocketMoney can track thousands of transactions through many years of financial data with no performance loss. Transactions can be split across multiple categories, transferred across accounts and can also be scheduled to occur at regular intervals. ** PocketMoney makes this really easy by remembering previous transactions and auto-completing them as you type. ** Analyze your overall financial situation by using the built-in reporting features of PocketMoney. Charts can help you visualize overspending and target areas to cut back. Furthermore, your data can be exported to desktop applications such as Microsoft Money and Excel. ** If you use Quicken or Microsoft Money, then you can export your desktop data to PocketMoney, enter data on the road, then export changes back to your desktop app via QIF files. (Quicken Essentials doesn’t support QIF exports/imports.) Features Include: Accounts ======= – Unlimited number of accounts and transactions – Accounts include credit cards, checking, PayPal, overdraft, savings and more – Bitcoin support – Proven performance and responsiveness – Repeating transactions with complex logic – Autocomplete transactions – Splits and Transfers – Reconcile and rollup your accounts. – Photo receipts – Current, future, cleared balance displays – Customized account ordering, grouping and graphics – Customized transaction entry preferences – Custom filters Syncing ====== – PocketMoney Sync Client – sync your finances over Wi-Fi to PocketMoney for Desktops (www.catamount.com for OS X, Windows, & Linux versions). – PocketMoney Sync Server – Keep your data in sync over Wi-Fi between multiple iOS devices without the need for PocketMoney for Desktops. I tried to use the support system in the web site but the URL was wrong and takes you to the Wordpress login page. 1. On adding a new transaction, please already have the first text field ready for input with the keyboard displayed. Used to be that way, needs to be that way. 2. I do not see any options for themes, fonts, etc listed in the app description, am I missing something? This is an amazing app with an equally amazing story behind it! Props to GT for carrying on and continued support for PocketMoney!!

UPDATE: I opened a ticket and never got a response. Not only is it incredibly difficult to contact this developer, but when you do, they don’t even respond. What’s the point of having “Custom” fields if you can’t customize them? You can’t create names for them. It’s incredibly hard to import custom icons. This app isn’t being worked in at all and feels like abandonware once again. OLD: The lack of recent updates to this app is a discouraging sign. The original PocketMoney app was incredible. It’s legacy due to the original developer (who unfortunately succumbed to cancer). Since then, it has changed names and ownership about three times. Each time there have been promises to support this app. Each time we have been let down. This is a terrific piece of software that seems to be bought for quick profit and then dumped. I have paid full price three times already and still don’t feel secure that development will continue. Support from the most recent owner has been cool at best, and difficult to access. I don’t know where the updates have gone. There seems to be no roadmap either. I hope I’m wrong because as stated, this is a wonderful piece of software.
  • Much Improved Recently

The app has been functioning very well after all the recent bug fixes and my initial poor review. I can sync reliably between devices and that is essential. Also, nothing is hid behind overlapping drop down menus. I still get a crash every now and then when entering a new transaction, but that’s been true since the original version from many years ago. I much prefer this over the other personal financial apps I’ve tried.
  • Numbers Keypad Problem

This is an excellent App that I have been using for many years. It has everything needed and more. Multiple currencies, recurring transactions, budgets, reports, you name it, it’s all there and very nicely done. With iPhone X changes, there is an annoying problem. The numbers pad reaches the very bottom of the page. I find myself continuously closing the App unintentionally when I am entering zeros. Please address this annoying problem by reducing the size of the keypad. I still give it 5 stars and hope this problem will be resolved soon.

I’ve used this app for as long as I can remember. It’s one of my must have apps. I’ve tried a lot of other finance apps over the years, and this one is the best for my use, which is simply keeping up with my checking account.
  • Needs more updates

Common it’s still ancient. Glad it works again, but fix the export / share functions, date format, and a bunch of other things. Just a little update here and there would convince us that you haven’t abandoned the app you guys took over
  • A “classic” but capable finance app

This very capable finance-tracker app has been through a rough time in the past few years ownership-wise. I have been using it on various platforms (Palm!) for close to 20 years and had no issues transitioning the data between them. I actually bought it more than once (even on iOS, though older versions kept working) as a show of support. I really like the features, including that it does not want to push everything to (or through) the cloud (like a lot of other apps these days). I can just sync directly with the desktop version or plain save (backup) the DB through file sharing (which is an SQLite DB that one can write queries against, although it is not documented). This latest version (“GT”) fixed some bugs and now supports the iPhone X screen layout. Plus it seems to even have added some new features - although it did move some options around so much so that I had a really hard time finding them (since the documentation is not yet up to date). One wish I have (apart from maybe adding an optional, automatically populated location - i.e. “where?” - field when making a transaction) is a place for user community/discussions, like the catamountsoftware.com/forum that was used for the older versions and what seems to be defunct now.
  • A must have!

...... this is the only app out there that keeps financial data the way it should be kept. No stupid emoji/icons, the transaction register is clear with all the relevant data visible ... and I mean all! You don’t have to tap a transaction to open it to see all the details, Payee, ID, amount, category, subCategory, memo ... colors RED, GREEN, BLACK ..... all visible the way it should be. It’s also a powerhouse combined with a desktop version that works flawlessly for me. (Shame on me that I can’t remember the developer name since I spoke with him often, but he thought of everything “Hardy”) At this point I don’t care who’s maintaining this app as long as he doesn’t listen to stupid suggestions about adding icons/emoji to a transaction or changing the layout or adding a subscription ...... I would run away real quick back to using spread sheets. I’ll pay the $4 every time for an update. Just whoever you are don’t change a thing .... just keep it alive. Please keep updates going to the desktop as well. Long live PM

This app is absolutely necessary for me to function as a living human person. Without it, I am adrift if an endless sea of mathematics, financial confusion, and my own tears. The mere thought of adult life without this app has me rocking back and forth in the fetal position. Please keep this app alive forever.
  • NO AUTOSYNC! Was promised over 2 years ago.

This product needs AUTOSYNC. Autosync was developed, beta-tested, and then abruptly dropped during an ownership shuffle. Now we must wait two more years, assuming they attempt to "do it right" (again). PocketMoney is however a good and flexible financial app. It beats other top money managers like Money Wiz, iCompta, Banktivity and See Finance for ease of use and features. Unfortunately support is poor: - Communication among users is not provided. - Future product plans are not shared. - Maintenance releases don't explain which bugs are fixed. - Promised new instructional resources have not materialized. And user input is not encouraged. Typical response to a support ticket: "This is not an issue yet your personal opinion of some change to make to the app. I decide the changes in the app given that I am the owner and I am not considering your change....So please: don’t write me again! Go and use MoneyWiz " My rating for this release (1.1.9) remains at two stars.
