  • Useless. No ability to customize budget duration.

    By Fitnessita
WARNING - This app only has pre-set budget durations based on the calendar - week, month, year, 6 months - and some others like it that are cookie cutter. I need a custom duration, e.g., every month from the 23rd to the 22nd. Paid money. Will delete.
  • Disappointed!

    By MykUSA
More bugs came after each update! Reported bugs but no response.
  • Too difficult!

    By Doctorblue
Purchased the app in it’s original incarnation. Updated my iOS and now original app won’t work. Begrudging spent the money AGAIN to update app. Now can’t get my MANY years of info to sync into the new app.
  • How dey do dat?

    By GybeTack
How do you take over a program that's been around for years and screw it up beyond comprehension? 1) Take away the flawless autosync function and make it a clunky manual process. 2) Throw in a bug that adds an extra no name account during the sync process just for kicks. 3) Take away the Display settings so that you can't have your latest entries at the top - once you get a few hundred entries you'll have to scroll and scroll and scroll to see your recent ones (this is a deal-breaker for me). The "Display Options" setting was simply removed from the Settings list. 4) Waste a bunch of screen space at the top with a useless black bar and a white empty space 5) Make the Sync icon in the lower left hand corner disappear unless you hold the iPhone horizontally I have two iPhone 6s devices and the screen display is poor on the one with iOS11 and unusable on the one with iOS10. I have 3 iPads (I'm a tech consultant) where the wasted display space is less of an issue - but can you imagine after a year of entries having to scroll through to see your recent ones? Part of the problem is most likely the move to iOS11, but I have plenty of apps that made the transition, including display and sync functions, without a glitch. It's a shame to see a program that worked perfectly for years go down the tubes. I'm looking forward to revising this review when they've got things sorted.
  • Excellent App

    By Reviewer GH
It is most wonderful news that this excellent app was brought back to the AppStore. It is back and updated with the latest technology (Touch ID and Face ID). Multiple accounts, multiple currencies, recurring transactions, split entries, syncing with MAC or other devices, budgets and reports; you name it; what ever you need for keeping tabs on your finances, you have it in PocketMoney GT. It’s a five star + app.
  • Great up but no Autosync

    By WiLdErSiDe
I’ve had this app for years and had to purchase 3 different versions because it keeps swapping hands which is not ideal. If this app would automatically sync between my iPhone and iPad it would be 5 stars. Manual sync is a drag.
  • NO AUTOSYNC! Was promised 2 years ago.

    By Thruston
This product needs AUTOSYNC. Autosync was developed, beta-tested, then dropped during an ownership shuffle. Now we must wait for another year so they can "do it right" (again). PocketMoney is however a good and flexible financial app. It beats other top money managers like Money Wiz, iCompta, Banktivity and See Finance for ease of use and features. Product support gives timely response to ticket submissions. However, recent releases with bug fixes have often created more bugs. For example in the previous release, reports allowed unlimited levels of subtotals. That's handy, for example, at tax time if you want to see totals for nontaxable dividends within total dividends within total income. Unfortunately a bug "fix" took away this feature. The response from ticket support neither admitted the error nor provided a workaround. It said "I advice [sic] you to find another way." Communication among users is not provided. Future product plans are not shared. The website does not encourage user input. My rating for this release (1.1.8) goes from three stars to two.
  • Best checkbook app!

    By drcrane
I have tried many apps of this kind as a matter of fact I think I have tried all of them on the App Store. This is by far the best one that I have used. Keep up the good work. That being said there is an issue where scheduled transaction just disappear from the list. I have contacted support and it is a known issue but that was over a year ago and still no resolution.
  • layout pronlem

    By koon0109
This update is very inconvenient because the layout is broken and suddenly the program ends. My use environment is iOS10.3.3 5s
  • Great app for tracking finances. Needs iPhone X tweaking

    By Orever
Most recent update moves the + signs around (for adding or duplicating transactions) to nonsensical locations. Those are by far to most used controls, so they should be in a consistent location (bottom left corner). Other items like Tools can be in the middle, as those are not used as much. Edit: I am left handed, and this is a bad argument. The lower left corner is a prime location for a control because it is always consistent and easy to get to. A phone screen is so small it does not make it any easier to move the control a few cm to the right, and they are not consistently centered which makes it worse. One is left of center and the other is right of center. The lower left prime location should not be wasted on controls that are used less often. It’s very rare to want to delete a transaction, and even more rare to need the Tools menu. The most used controls should be in a consistent place, not jump around in the toolbar so they need to be searched for every time.
