Best food tracker. Keeps me honest and love the dietary options, breakdown of nutrients. Makes tracking easy
  • Sadly, requires reading glasses

I want this app! But I’m not willing to carry reading glasses. This style of typography is OK for print publications, because you get in the habit of putting reading glasses on the coffee table. But, with an app you use for a few seconds, multiple times per day, reading glasses aren’t an option. Sure, I could use Apple’s accessibility zoom, but again, with something you need to see, multiple times per day, it’s not a viable option. Just design it to be legible out of the box. I have to believe that even your younger customers will appreciate better legibility. Trust me, it can be done tastefully. Again, I want this app! The clever water entry, the very usable food entry, and the great diet plans make me really wish that I could switch from the also great “Lose it” app. But alas, I can’t. Fix the typography, and I would give the app 6 stars if I could.

Do not get premium. It basically does what the free version will do for you. The app glitches all the time, has limited results for daily food options, and i rarely use it because it is frustrating and rarely helpful for a healthy lifestyle. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I am following the keto diet and got this app because I was led to believe that it was one of the plans that was offered within. I subscribed for a trial of three months and I can’t find the keto diet planned nor can I update my weight I keep getting caught in an endless loop. Very disappointed. Minutes after signing up and I have already canceled.
  • Used to love, but now must pay or crash

I used to love this app. I had originally had a paid plan, but learned I didn’t need the extra features. I just liked a place to track calories and weight. The new updates now cause the app to repeatedly ask me to pick a paid plan. When I click out of the paid plans the app crashes. There are other free calorie counting apps so I’ve now deleted Lifesum.
  • It’s okay...

Lifesum is a fairly good app if you’d like to track your calorie intake, or try different dieting plans...but it’s so fickle about what you eat, even if you ate a tomato straight from the vine, it’d yell at you for eating the natural sugar in the tomato. Plus, you can’t design your own custom meals within the app, you can only choose name brand food. Or a barcode. I’m trying something else.

Really happy with this app. Being able to track a quick snack and snap a picture is neat. Still new to using it, but no complaints!
  • It use to be the greatest.

I’ve been using Lifesum for over a year now and up until recently this app was a 5 star app. The most recent updates however has made it absolutely garbage. Nothing seems to work correctly and it seems like they’ve stripped everything out of the basic version that made the app worth using. I’ll give it another week or so before I switch to something else.
