  • Great app

    By BluePhoenixNC
I have been a user of NAVIGON ever since they became available in the US. As many previous people already mentioned: the new design is everything BUT userfriendly. A huge blob of info plastered somewhere on the screen, no way to get a full map view. I liked the older version better. In addition it would be nice if they would offer a hud display mode. For those who do not have or want to buy the Bluetoith hud they offer. Many programs at a fraction of the cost of Navigon offer this. I‘d hate to have spent so much money on the app (initial and updates) just to abandon it for another program. I love the lane assist! Please add a hud display mode.
  • Used to be a '4' now it's a '1'

    By passepartoot
My favorites are gone and if I reload them, they disappear next time I reload the app. Same with ‘home.’ It insists I enter ‘work’ even though I’m retired. It asks me for my contacts and when I grant permission, nothing appears. ARG! This is no longer a useful tool: it remembers nothing
  • Hard to use for common cases

    By ndru
I find this app super difficult to use for my common case, which is that I want to find some location on the map and get directions to that location. I can’t even scroll the map as far as I can tell — I have to search for some arbitrary destination near where I want to go, if I don’t have an exact address. I bought this app primarily for use when I’m exploring and find myself without cell signal, but in such cases I’m probably not familiar with the current area, and thus don’t have anything specific to search for — I’m just exploring. Very frustrating, as this app has all the maps I need, but literally won’t show them to me.
  • Never works when needed

    By Marnoldi
I am going on a trip in an hour. I switched on the app & it wan’t start. Garbage!!! Now I’ll have to delete it & redownload - no time for that nonsense. I’ll use google map (free & always works)
  • Take it Back

    By B@dgerZ
The new user interface is just flat infuriating, and stupid. Please give us back the old, usable, interface. The horizontal view now has, inexplicably, altitude info, but has lost time to arrival information, and so much more. Did Garmin lose the right to use the excellent Navigon interface? I cannot for the life of me, figure out why else they would screw up a perfectly good app, like they did
  • Worth Paying For

    By akarp
I travel areas with no network coverage so the maps download feature is great. Additionally, Navigon doesn’t give screwy directions as often as google maps. For others like me who manage a large list of saved locations I recommend Rego Pro. My saved locations are listed by distance from current location and Rego opens Navigon for navigation. Beautiful!
  • worthless...

    By Rafal Kraszewski
I have re-installed this app after a while to give it a second chance. Map manager does not open. Bust at first step. Oh I wish I could get my money back... Oh well, back to TomTom.
  • Don't buy! Go with the fruit & abc apps!!

    By JoeHflorida
Used this app for years. Now I can't download the new map updates. The new UI is awful. I bet the corporate 'brains' are being told by the programmers that the new update is great. Do any of them even use this pathetic 'new and improved' app? Please take the collective recommendation to avoid this app. The big fruit app & the abc app are so much better and you will never have to deal with this frustrating company ever again.
  • Why the Glympse change?

    By Disappointed 2010
Newest version takes away the Glympse link from the navigation map! This was a feature that was important to those of us that used it and was not a problem for those that didn’t because it faded away within a minute or so if not using it. Now you have to swipe to change page, find a narrow link on a list, and then authorize recipient. To do any further processing you have to follow the same procedure. In recent versions you knew it was on, knew how much time was left, knew if recipients were observing you and had simple access to change anything. Now you have none of that. Please return these features to this app!
  • Total Trash Now

    By Jimburd
The app has been RUINED because some dip$hit decided the interface needed to be changed. Have been a user since late 2009 but refuse to use it now.
