The app has many nice features but fails in one important area - the app consistently does not upload all the photos. I’ve monitored the uploads and all too often the app does not upload all the new photos.

Would be awesome if you guys incorporated the Flickr mail within the Flickr app as well, it’s tiring to have too start up the computer and look at my Flickr mail just for a moment. Be easier to open my app and go straight to Flickr mail and respond to mail, if, and when, I get any. Even if you make an entirely to app called “Flickr Mail” I wouldn’t care lol, would just like to have it be easier on anybody, who uses their mail. I know some say, just use your safari. NO cause that’s a hassle in itself.

Editing 04/16/2018 for version 4.6.0: still broken. Dropping to 1 star. Yesterday I tried to upload 3 images, one at a time because I don’t want to tax the poor app too much, and it uploaded 12 copies of each. It got stuck on one, so I tried to kill the app and try again but it then uploaded the new ones and still kept on with the stuck one. Eventually deleted the whole app and reinstalled and yet it still knew who I was even though I have no other Yahoo apps installed. I got a prompt saying “give feedback”, so I did, again, and just got an email today closing the issue with a link to a forum question that didn’t fix or address my problem. At this point it just seems like a busted flush. If anyone’s listening, you should fix your app, it’s embarrassing itself and, to my great sadness, Flickr. Please sort it out. Editing 02/11/2018 for version 4.5.4: still doesn’t work, despite several “bug fixes and improvements” releases. Did anyone actually test uploading images with it? One image, fine; multiple images, lose all EXIF and location data. Post upload, post delete, still problems displaying most recent images properly. These may not be show-stopping bugs, but they’re pretty darn bad, and they’re not getting fixed. Editing 01/07/2018: reducing to 3 stars because there are core bugs that they just don’t seem to want to fix, despite reporting it via the feedback and talking to Flickr support on Twitter. Uploading more than one image at a time garbles the EXIF data, no info or location are shown for those pics on the app or the site. One at a time is fine, but that’s really annoying to have to do. Also, after you’ve uploaded, there are frequently issues with layout and displaying the new images. I thought it might be just my specific iPhone model but I’ve recently upgraded the phone and there’s no change. Also, there are plenty of functions that could easily have been incorporated into the app in the time since it was launched but just haven’t made it in, and subjectively it “feels” like the overall layout has got worse. I’ve been a paid Flickr user since early 2005, have maybe 14k pics on it, and have continued to support Flickr, but I’m currently unimpressed with the unmoving state of half-assed site updates and broken app uploads. Especially since the Verizon acquisition. I mean, come on. Verizon. ————— Very nicely thought-out, properly modernised Flickr photo app. Seems to take some good lessons from Instagram without feeling the need to emulate it, which was a failing - and, I think, a panic reaction - in some of the previous mobile versions. Website functionality still needs a lot of attention, but the Flickr experience is really being brought up to date; it places itself firmly back in the right context and nicely distinguishes itself with a solid photography focus, rather than just yet more mindless "social" me-too-ism. Come on Flickr, you can get back on top!

  • Uploads too many copies

Maybe I can get the attention of developers this way. When I’m on a slow connection, the uploadr adds multiple copies of the same image - last batch did 10 copies! Of 3 images! There is no way to stop the uploadr except by deleting the app. This is ridiculous.
  • Issues with uploading.

Every time I try and upload a picture it adds 20 of the same image. Or sometimes it continuously uploads the same picture until I close out of or remove the app. Could you fix this?? Otherwise I love the app and would give it a 5 Star.

Been with Flickr for many years. I especially like how I can designate all my pictures as Creative Commons, which allows posting the pics to Wikipedia. Also like the tagging and mapping features.
