  • Basic functionality but poor support

    By Rodger584
This utility provides basic print and scan functions. I scan a lot of magazines and documents with 4 different MFC models and most of the time the operation is good. When I do have a problem It is usually a software problem and there is no place to get help. The app support link points to a generic page on their web site. As most of the site is dedicated to marketing with a few device specific support pages. There does not appear to be any support for the mobile apps.
  • Needs to use resolution printer is capable of

    By Grammy51
This would be SO convenient if resolution of scans were better. The printer is capable of making high resolution scans (when using with my laptop) but this app can only make low resolution scans. Please improve this feature, and I will love the app!!!!
  • Brother MFC Many models

Great printer, my color laser mfc works great but can’t print from iOS iPhone directly (iphone6) via airport but can send print indirectly from pics, camera, even tiny scanner and my Mac book pro directly prints. I collect brothers, their toner lasts a long time and can be reset, off brands available for the $ strapped. And as a hobbyist I love the required repair rare challenge .
  • Needs better integration

    By joutwate76
Update: with recent changes to the app you can now save files to iCloud. I’m extremely happy with this update! Old review: When you attempt to save scanned files to iCloud it saves a text file with the contents ‘from brother iPrint&Scan’. Same happens with other ‘send to’ targets with the exception of saving to your photos. You can obviously work around this by first saving to photos and then moving it from there but it’s just inconvenient. There’s almost no point for using the print capability from the app as it’s better integrated from the os level. The app print option doesn’t support iCloud files from you phone either. It’s like this app is trapped in 2010 when you still needed a Mac to use your iPhone.
  • Why doesn’t Brother fix the Privacy Separator problem

    By Flachris
Hey Brother. You used to basically have Plug and Play. I guess not any more. Can’t you give an update . Most people do not, and probably should not, get into their router’s configuration. I have a wireless Samsung also. Guess what: It’s plug and play. I think this Privacy Separator is probably a big head ache for the users .
  • Don’t download this app

    By Rhody Peep
I was not able to get my printer to work from my phone, so followed Brother instructions to download the app! This was last night. This AM I had 36 new emails from every company under the sun! They give our information to other companies in the Brother Group! What a mess !
  • No more Brother

    By RetFoosh
Like many other reviewers, I have been a long time Brother customer. Like many other reviewers, I used to be able to print to my MFC-L2700DW from my iPhone using airprint (sometimes), or from this app (when airprint didn’t work), but regardless of whether it is Apple or Microsoft, printing to a wireless Brother printer has ALWAYS been flaky, hit or miss. This printer and the last both have a hard time responding when it is in “deep sleep”. I am tired of the hassle. I even set this up with Google Cloud print but still having problems. I hate Brother. Will never buy again.

  • Abruptly stopped working

I'm furious that my app stopped working abruptly. Whenever I tap on the Brothers app it goes completely blank I have deleted and reinstall thinking this may help but it didn't change anything!!! This was once a great working functioning app but now it's worthless!!!! Very disappointed with Brothers. 8/26/18 My review hasn’t changed from my original post years ago. I would have thought by now the issue would have been fixed and at the least heard from the developer or Brothers. Completely frustrated!!!
