It’s really good dictionary. It has really helped me a lot with pronouncing words and finding there meanings. I do use it often bc I read books a lot and when I don’t understand a word I look it up on here. It has ads, but they usually don’t last long and they don’t come a lot so your not bothered.Over all I think it’s a great dictionary to use whenever.

  • Review of Merriam Webster app

This app is great! It’s quick and it has yet to fail with the definition of any word that I wanted to know the meaning.
  • Keeping Language Alive!

I’m so grateful that a traditional institution like this one has adapted so well to the digital age. So many traditions and institutions have been cast aside and there seems to be less respect for what is “proper”. I’m happy this app makes the English language accessible to new generations. I’m especially fond of the word of the day feature! English is so vast and I have enjoyed expanding my horizons with the word of the day.

  • Best dictionary app

Very easy to use. Fun games to play to test integration & recollection of words I’d forgotten from high school.
  • The definition of “meh”

    By Torsten Barring
This is nothing more than a decent basic dictionary, with limited definitions, crappy etymologies, and generally student-level presentation — if you’re looking for something for professionals, keep looking. A far cry from the much better Unabridged Webster’s app that this company used to sell — for $80! — and then decided to stop updating — making that $80 down the drain. This totally average dictionary is more proof that Merriam Webster is all about mediocrity now.
  • I use daily to help me remember or verify

The app allows you to save favorites and access at the top left of the screen very easily. Easy to see and hear the words you most frequently use. Also it keeps the last ten words you have looked up across the top of the app. I am very satisfied with the app, so much easier than getting out the big heavy Dictionary, plus you can hear the word to verify pronunciation.
