  • Great App for Travelers

    By SJayinCT
This is a great app for travelers. It provides real-time maps which use satellite rather than Wi-Fi. In addition to city maps which highlight many tourist attractions, the app provides city walks with detailed descriptions of the sites you will encounter. As such it is also useful tool for planning a trip. The small cost to obtain the upgrade version is well worth the price.
  • Excellent - can’t get lost.

I have now used GPSmyCity for several locations. Two different devices. I love the walking tours and the audio. Even the light location downloads are helpful. Spend a little and it gets better. I don’t mind spending a little to support the effort it takes to create these tours and facts. Thanks for making my vacation stops more enjoyable.
  • What is needed in our current times!

I am really enjoying this map app, especially because unlike GoogleMaps, it doesn’t track my online data involuntarily! ♥️♥️♥️ It’s so worth the money! I also just LOVE the fact that it has many blogger stories and guides about the places I visit. This part is unique and very helpful in giving me an overall understanding of the new destinations. I always try to find local bloggers anyway, and with this map I can do that and save them faster. Looking forward to my next trip to use this app. I have had this app for a long time now and they always add new features. I love it! For those who likes to travel, this is the map for you! 👌
  • Very disappointed

Signed up for the $4.99 upgrade for Victoria BC for a trip the next day and got nothing but the icon on my phone! I could read the articles....but I could do that on the GPSmyCity icon. Still had a good time in Victoria but used google maps and just wandered.
  • Not convenient to use and overcharged prices

Not convenient to use and overcharged prices
  • Tokyo map in Chinese only

    By 808apple
The Tokyo tour write up (Free version) is in English, but when using maps, descriptions are in Chinese. My $4.99 loss for only speaking English & the site not explaining this prior (which I think is shady).
  • Reader friendly, no free lunch

The reviews that want freebies or protection from politically incorrect conventional traveller interests, like women shopping, I’ll say nothing more about. Some eyes like more distraction and cognitive leading, I guess. I don’t. I rapidly reset to flat sat hybrid format on a gps if I can, e.g. And gimme Jack Webb informative, please. If you can’t navigate, don’t go in. So my positive response mirrors the review by the gentleman who visited Prague with his wife—insert Denver, San Diego, for me. You can do it all on you own with apps like this.
  • Don’t do it

I wish I had read the reviews before downloading this app. What a disappointment. Total bait and switch. Grrrr
  • This app is absolute rubbish

    By disgruntled druid
When I downloaded this free app I expected to find fun informative waking maps around great cities. What I found was an unusable app that only listed points of interest in the city it would only provide a map and my GPS location after paying 5 more dollars. The map also has no option to follow the orientation of you while walking (it is always North oriented). And forget about stopping to take a picture because closing this app and using another will require the mycities app to load up from the beginning requiring you to relocate the map you were using. If I had the abilities of a warlock I would wish 100 curses upon this app.
  • No longer load map
