Frequently the daily weather forecast lacks data. After several attempts to see the data will information lacking, I have delete the app and reinstall it. The daily weather forecast has complete data. I have encountered this problem for past 2 years .

I don’t think this app has been updated for a month. I really like this app because it has the scientific discussion feature where as the new Storm app doesn’t. Without the updates though, this app has been buggy and that’s disappointing because this one of the better weather apps.
  • It can be great, but is only as good as its data

WU is, for my money, the best weather app out there . . . when it has good data. Unfortunately, if one of the private weather stations it relies on goes bad, the app can be worse than useless, it can actually seriously misinform its users. Be very cautious when using this app, and always check it against other sources.

Mostly good experiences. Problems... When using the layered map, the map features (Fronts), haven’t moved in months. A pretty stagnant weather pattern. Also, things just seem to be loading more slowly these days. Might be on my end but who knows.

Bought Ad-Free. Been a member for years. Then the latest version of App Refused Login — generates error message. Grrrr !! Glad this finally got fixed. The app is great... use it all the time.
  • Crashes constantly

I love Weather Underground. It is hands-down the best, most precise, most accurate weather app I’ve ever heard of. That’s why I can’t seem to quit it, despite the constant crashes. This app literally crashes every other time I use it, and yet I keep trying to use it. No update for two months?? Please fix whatever is going on with the app! I really don’t want to try to find a new one.

3 yrs iPhone, 1yr yr iPad. Agree with another reviewer that lately, temps, including current temp can be off - even varying widely from other weather apps. BUT, recent weather history, graphics, other information, and screen simplicity make this a HUGE cut above most I've checked out. Still my go to.
  • Can’t be trusted

I’ve used Weather Underground for quite a while as a paying Premium user. However, after reading the New York Times’ exposé on apps that sell users’ location information for marketing purposes, I deleted WU and won’t be using it again. The exposé revealed that IBM, the parent company of The Weather Channel and Weather Underground, has collected TWC users’ location data taken from their weather app and allowed it to be used by hedge funds for commercial purposes. That is unacceptable. Nobody should trust or use IBM weather apps like The Weather Channel or Weather Underground.
