  • Audio Overlay Does Not Work

MLB website says Audio Overlay feature allows you to watch the game, and overlay the radio broadcast over the video. But for the second straight year, this feature does not work.
  • Now showing advertisements for paying users

I pay an annual subscription for this app. This year, that seems to include banner advertisements within the app. I would rate this zero stars if I could. I am not paying for advertisements. Subscription cancelled until I am azures the advertisements are removed for subscribers. 2019-03-16: the cop out “uninstall and reinstall” suggestion, as expected, did nothing. 2019-03-22: latest update still shows banner ads to paid subscribers.
  • Does not link

I’ve purchased MLB extra innings through this my provider, but although the app opens up my tv provider it does not link the accounts by. Every time I attempt to watch a game in the phone it asks me to purchase a plan. App is useless.
  • Re-customizing? UPDATED REVIEW

UPDATE: Contacted support. Reinstalled. App works fine now. —— Opened app today. App says I need to customize experience. Already shows my previous team selected. Reviewed Notification settings & selected Next. App is stuck - hung up on processing even after several minutes. Phone locks after several minutes, so upon reopening, I have to go through entire process again. Have restarted phone, but still receive same issue. iOS is current. Paid subscriber.
  • The good, the bad, the ugly

App is good for score updates and a quick look at the news but it’s garbage when trying to play the videos. If you try full screen the app freezes, stops playing the video, and forces you to restart the app which then forces you to watch another ad. Guess it’s a good way to piss ppl off while still getting paid. Plus the stupid app opens up ads that you didn’t click on all on its own. Which again is another way to get their money. MLB open your eyes and realize that the idiots your paying to “fix” the apps bugs aren’t doing their job.
  • Rip off

  • Log in constantly

Almost every time I have the app open and listening to a game and then shut off my vehicle, I have to log in again after restarting the vehicle.
  • Rates (even more) excessive, blackout (still) makes it useless

Update 2018 - Well, it’s been a few years! I’ve really not missed you MLB. I see blackouts continue. Meanwhile, I bought season tickets for our local team for less than what it costs to go to one MLB game. Beers are $2.50 ($1 if the “Beer Batter” on the opposing team strikes out) and a hot dog is $1.50. The quality of play is pretty good too. I heard Mike Trout is getting $426M. Maybe you aren’t aware that the average wages of an American are 1/1,000 of that. Mike Trout is worth 1,000 hard-working Americans? Oh, and even if you charged what the local team does, I wouldn’t drive 5 hours to see my “local” MLB team play just because of a blackout. Blackouts are senseless and aren’t producing the results you think they are. They make the app intolerable. I suspect more and more people will start going to their local parks to enjoy baseball the way it should be. Update 2015 - You know, I'd actually pay the insane subscription rate if it wasn't for the blackouts. Tonight my 13-year old, said, "Dad, can we watch the Brewers?" "No son, we cannot." "But why?" "Because MLB, said so, that's why!" Yep, my teenage son wants to sit with his dad and watch a ballgame. Sure, we'd all pay good money for that! Apparently, all of us together, don't add up to what cable and the ballparks pay MLB. Think of that the next time you pay your cable bill or buy a $10 beer! Update for 2014 - Hi MLB! It's us, fans of baseball. Did you know? It's 2014! Everybody's all about cutting the cord! You need to as well! Get out of that adulterous relationship you have with cable and the ballparks. End the blackout B.S. that really, really, really isn't getting anybody to the ballpark and fewer and fewer to hold onto cable/satellite. Update for 2013 - All the below and then some. With the $20 I won't be spending this year, I'll be taking my entire family to a local club team game, get a beer, brat and peanuts for less than a MLB park beer, and watch some guys play whose hearts are truly in the game. Since the local ballpark now has wifi, I can stream MLB games that are playing concurrently live from the Orb player on my PC. MLB has priced watching baseball on iOS out of reach of most Americans. Even if it was affordable, the ridiculous blackout restrictions make it unusable for the vast majority of fans following their hometown/state/region (and country for Canadians) team. Do yourself a favor and look into setting up Orb on your PC and iOS device to get around blackout legally. Delays make using it at the ballpark an exercise in frustration - stats and radio coverage lag behind play on the field by about 2 1/2 minutes.

Now requires iOS 11. What a bunch of nonsense. Useless to my iPad and very disappointed. We had a great run.
