    Love the National and international news coverage!!! The political cartoons are amazing. Love the viewpoints from different perspectives on major news articles.
  • The Week’s new app is HORRIBLE

    Thank you for making The Week unreadable for me. I am visually impaired, and I CANNOT see the pdf version of the magazine. On the old app I could choose a non pdf version, with a darker background and adjust text size to my liking. I don’t see how you can do that on your ‘new’ horrible app, AND on the new app the setting to increase text size DOES NOT WORK! Did anyone field test this new app before rolling it out??? Shame on you!!! Oh!! Now we have a dark mode back!! BUT IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!! Large sections of the magazine do not display in the Dark Mode!! Are you people kidding??? This is the most amateurish app ever rolled out by a major magazine. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!! I WILL BE CANCELLING!! 1/24/24- How the heck do you go back to where you left off while reading the digital version??? It is not clear and thus the app continues to be VERY ANNOYING! In the latest issue you go from Business/Making Money to The Last Word, and then back to Business. Articles are repeated one issue to the next. When you turn a page on the digital version it often takes you to the BOTTOM or MIDDLE of the next page, not the top. Are you people kidding???? I will not renew my subscription. 3/4/24- Continues to be awful. This weeks edition is incomplete. AND, when you try to continue reading a given issue, it does not take you to the page you last viewed and marked. I still will not renew my subscription.

    A cardinal rule when updating software is NOT TO REMOVE FEATURES THAT ARE HELPFUL! With your recent update, you removed the text to speech option! THIS WAS MY FAVORITE FEATURE! I don’t have time to read The Week cover to cover but I do love listening to it when I work out. Now I can’t do this. I even participated in a focus group for The Week a few months ago when you were testing out the new daily content. One of the things I REPEATED AGAIN AND AGAIN was how much I like the text to speech. After 14+ years as a subscriber, you’ve lost me. I’ll be canceling my subscription. Slap the knuckleheaded kindergarteners who “redesigned” your app. It’s a glorified PDF and it is an inferior product.

    No longer allows offline reading. Even if you download an issue, it requires an active internet connection to read it.

    Every change this app/site makes is terrible. It used to be straightforward now too much opinion and analysis from the staff. There are a million places to get that and few to just get news. I also hate the new way the magazine displays in app. There is always an annoying icon in the corner. I wish they would return to their roots.
  • Excellent content, but some access issues

    I have enjoyed print subscription for a few years, but I have had some difficulty with accessing the online Week. It does not say anywhere whether print includes online or not. The online site can’t give any details. Subscription offers also do not clarify this. Wonder why they can’t clarify this simple thing. Lately I have accessed the online magazine, though occasionally access log-in has been complicated and frustrating. As far as magazine’s content is concerned it is excellent. We look forward to every issue and do read it regularly. One other problem of note is that there are usually some delays in receiving the print issues. I think it is probably a fault of the magazine itself since I don’t have similar problem with other subscriptions. Maybe the Postal Service is partly to blame. That has been a little sore point of this subscription.

    Love the magazine and get it in print, but the app needs to offer greater functionality for phones. I shouldn’t have to pinch, zoom and scroll to read an article. Read mode would be a good start! The magazine doesn’t fill the screen like a made-for-mobile app should. It feels like a desktop browser on my phone and that’s the worst kind of mobile app!!
