  • The app is basically unusable

I keep expecting Google to update Drive for iOS to actually work with the native Files (where, instead, it constantly hits memory problems), and to borrow native iOS conventions. Since my organization uses G Suite, I am stuck with it, but I dread — as an iOS-only professional — every time I have to use Drive. It almost seems like Google is deliberately hobbling a rival’s device capability—and I have the same thoughts about Sheets and Docs, which have a limited feature set, very weird cursor conventions, and predictable lags in adopting new iOS features.

Can’t annotate PDFs. This seems to be a common feature in most other similar applications
