  • Tons of free or cheaper apps that do a better job

    By Tommy|Tsunami
Don’t trust their cloud’ve heard about the celebrity cloud hacks that targeted Apple’s iCloud. How is this any safer? Second, emailed them a while ago with absolutely necessities for the app, response was condescending and they have “no plans” in making the additions, which I have listed below. - iTunes file sharing (at the least) - the export to photos library is super limited, especially if you’re trying to keep hundreds of photos and videos off of your camera roll (I have had people in the the vicinity accidentally airdrop me their nudes). This needs to be fixed. - longer pin option / custom pin - there is software out there, especially available to law enforcement that can crack 4 digit pins in less than a week. The calculator version of the app (that they got rid of) let you do this. Why not this one? A step backwards. - hidden accounts (with a three finger tap) a $3 app I use has this option. If I considered paying $150 for you could at least add this. - multiple user accounts - same as above If you need an awesome app that’s way cheaper, check out pocket files pro, and honestly, avoid the cloud backups.

Many of the same complaints I’m seeing here. For the umpteenth time, I still have “some” locked photos after unlocking them...and the cloud keeps backing up photos but I don’t have the cloud enabled. It won’t shut off. Every time I go back into the app, it’s on and running...constantly. Why mess with perfection??? This was perfect before the updates. And now I have personal photos ...seemingly gone forever. This is crap and it’s sad

  • Good but just one problem

    By EvanAG.200
I had a good amount of photos saved and I deleted the app because I was making space for something else that I needed on my phone and when I got the app back and signed in half the photos I had saved were gone and I couldn’t get them anymore. Please if there’s anyway to fix this I would love to know.
  • Devolved into something horrible.

I’ve been a long time user of KeepSafe. I’ve always had a need to keep things off of my camera roll, we all know what I mean here. All those years ago, keepsafe was what first came up when I looked for something like this, so I got it. I was content for the longest time. Back in those days, you got a simple app that prompted you with a code and showed you ads to keep itself alive. You could opt to buy premium which would give you novelty features and hide ads; cool, but not for me. Then, the s**t storm hit. Now, I’ve been on an iPhone 6 the whole time, and this app in particular has slowed down to almost unusable status. That’s fine, though. I had over 4,000 pictures I wasn’t about to move over just because it was slow. So, I kept it and put up with it. Then, just today I noticed something. The app was uploading my images EVEN THOUGH I checked every single option associated with their cloud garbage to no. Now, I don’t have a problem with this really, it’s what it represents that kills me. I downloaded this app because I wanted sensitive photos and videos on my phone with a pin on them. I didn’t want them uploaded to some greedy corporation trying to sell me a cloud service without my consent. Not to mention the other ways they try to shove their garbage down my throat. If I wanted cloud storage, I’d use google which I guarantee is far more secure than this, and costs nothing for a lot of storage, AND doesn’t constantly try to sell you on garbage. To conclude, this app is a shadow of what it once was, and it was nothing special before. If you want to put your explicit stuff somewhere actually private, you’d be better off with your camera rolls. All you get with this is a pin and as much baggage as an emo Tinder girl. So, keepsafe and get something that’s local. Privacy policies don’t mean anything, after all; just look at Facebook.
  • Having to “down grade”

    By K Tizzle
Not impressed with having to down grade to a worse version while trying to keep wedding photos and pictures of my dress private while trying to deal with ads now. Ridiculous.
  • Lost pictures

I lost a lot of pictures and it’s very easy for someone to brake in to your account
  • It's great except..

This app has been crashing my entire phone since about November 2017. It happens when I upload photos. It seems like a bug that hogs all the RAM in the phone and stops any and all operations until I force reset the phone. It also doesn't sync my photos across my devices. The storage management is inaccurate and has no actual function to help you control what's saved on the server and what isn't. It will say everything is backed up but the items don't appear on the other devices. This app used to work like a charm, but things have been going downhill over the past year.
