  • Not worth the money

The design for the food log is awful..I won’t get into it, but it’s pretty annoying to navigate. My goal specialist never addressed my concerns but yet kept asking me what my concerns were, what I wanted to get out of the app, etc. it made me feel like my concerns were being pushed off and that the responses by the goal specialist are preplanned. Definitely not worth 45 bucks a month. Some of the daily articles they have are neat though whereas others are about things most people already know.. so again.. not really worth the money. My fitness pal is free and it’s easier to log food on that app and they also have different motivational and educational articles daily.

I tried Noom for two weeks and it was essentially useless. I received virtually no support from my coach, from whom I seldom heard and who took days to respond to questions. She responded (after three days) with “what would cutting carbs look like to you?” when I asked for guidance in cutting back on unhealthy carbs. Really? Entering meals is far more arduous than it was for me with the Lose It! app because so few foods (comparatively) are in their database, and they are clearly relying on users to populate their food choices for them. The computer generated “articles” you receive each day are fine, but certainly not a substitute for actual support from a group or Coach. Noom is outrageously expensive for what it is compared with what it claims to be. I would have slogged it through the annoyance of logging meals and having to enter every darn nutritional detail myself if I actually received an support. But I didn’t. Not even close. What a waste of time and hope.

Never used app. Tried to sign up for 10 a month and was 137.06 for four months. They refuse to refund me money. Stay far far away.

I canceled my membership through my coach as instructed through the app. They charged my paypal account 2 days later and were not willing to refund the $149.00. You have a 14 day trial period then they charge for the year. My fitness pal does the same thing and more for free! A big rip off. Use MyFitnessPal, you won’t be disappointed..
  • Terrible app

I have tried numerous times to sign into my account and it will not work. I even tried to contact support about getting this taken care of and never received a response. I was charged today $159.00 for an app I can’t even access? How lovely. I do not recommend this at all.
  • Where is my group?

So I am new to this app. Had lost a lot of weight on a different program but then life happened and I regained half. The other program changed a lot and I just can’t get it to work for me so I thought try Noom. I don’t mind the logging and all and I cook 99% of my meals so that’s cool. However 3 days ago the app told me I was added to a group... I wasn’t .. now the daily tasks tell me to post stuff in my group, which i still don’t have. My Noom coach was no help just said I haven’t been added yet. They sell the group aspect as one of the big things and I am not added? If this isn’t changed before I am supposed to get charged again I will cancel as I refuse to pay the full price to something I only get half access to!
  • Extremely pricy monthly fee!

When I first started this program I searched for a price without success. As I saw there was a 14 day trial I assumed, like other programs, you would receive the information during that trial. I did not. The program can be helpful, but not worth $129/month!!! Upon reaching out to customer service i was told they would cancel my subscription, but not refund the $129. This was right after my 14 day trial ended. Many of my food selections were not listed. It was difficult to continually have to type in every ingredient for those unlisted items. Because of the price, I would not recommend. Good Luck, HemoNurse
  • Amazing app except for one thing

This app is amazing. I’ve actually lost weight in the first week. The one thing I don’t like is it never connects to my Fitbit correctly. It’s slow to catch up to my Fitbit steps. If they can fix this issue it’ll be perfect. Other than that it’s amazing.

Downloaded Noom and I did actually like the app. They tell you it’ll be $25 dollars a month. THEN I got hit with a $150 dollar bill. I’m a college student. $150 might not seem like a lot, but I agreed to $25 a month. NOT $150. I asked customer support to cancel and refund me $125. They told me they would cancel my subscription, but would not refund me. Contacted my “coach” about getting a phone number to call and he refused to give me one. I’ll be contacting apple to see if I can get a refund there. Super disappointed in this app.

When I signed up for Noom I was very excited and did not mind paying the 59 per month, but this morning I was charged 149. Doing some research because there’s no number to call, the 149 payment is for a 6 month period which would be ok if that’s what I signed up for, but it’s not. It’s a good app because it’s different and can motivate you, but you shouldn’t charge people what they didn’t ask for, that seems like a scam.
