Description

Give your busy mind a break. With this app, you will never forget anything again. • Apple “New Year, New You” Favorite • Apple App Store Staff Favorite Lumen Trails lets you take notes, make lists and keep track of other things in your life such as time, workouts, expenses, calories, food, weight, sleep or anything else you can think of, even where you've parked your car. Thousands of people use it every day, and they love it because it truly makes a difference in their lives. “I've been using Lumen Trails for 6 months and continue to love it. One of my most sticky and useful apps ever on my phone.” – David D'Souza The beauty of Lumen Trails is that you can track absolutely anything. There are tons of other apps that allow you to track one or two things, for example, calories and weight. But what if you decide to track something else? Say, how many cigarettes you smoke as you try to quit, your eating habits or even net worth? Lumen Trails is the app for that! Instead of having one app for your to-do lists, one for tracking expenses, another one for tracking your weight, you can declutter your home screen and just have one app that does it all. Designed exclusively for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Lumen Trails is incredibly powerful, easy to use, and looks beautiful on the Retina Display. It can even backup your data automatically to Google Drive, sync with iCloud, and is fully accessible with Apple VoiceOver in 8 languages. There's nothing that comes even close to it. And to top it all, your data is not locked on your iPhone. You can export it to Excel or Google Docs. So what's truly important to you right now? Your Health? Fitness? Finances? Productivity? Track it and get things done! :: Note to iPhone 7 & 7 Plus users Now you can ask Siri to find information for you and dictate right into Lumen Trails. For example, hold down the Home button and ask Siri: “How many calories are in a chicken sandwich?”. To start dictation, tap the microphone button on your keyboard and just start talking. :: Have a Question? We are here to help. Email us at support@lumenspark.com, or find us on Twitter @lumentrails. Lumen Trails is FREE for a month, and then only $9.99 per year. Your iTunes account will be charged at confirmation of your purchase and renews automatically every year for the same amount. Auto-renew may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase, and must be turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. • Counterintuitive Interface, confusing nonfunctional buttons, very versatile and useful

This app is a bit fuddy-duddy, and has not been updated in a long time. However, it gets the job done, albeit with some very confusing nonfunctional buttons and limited, counterintuitive entry methods. I am trying to use the "bedtime" template to track my rise time each morning. However when I tap the "Add current time" to the journal entry field, this does not update the time field in the upper right-hand corner. The user is forced to manually click and type in the time. Otherwise, the time will not show up on the monthly calendar view for tracking purposes. Unfortunately, the task of manually entering a time presents new challenges and limitations. For example, if I type in 500, this gets interpreted as minutes, converted to hh:mm format and shows up as "8:20". Or I would need to type "7" ":" "0" "3", to get 7 hours, 3 minutes. There is no way to indicate a.m. or p.m. for these entries, which I suppose is not crucial, however it would be nice. After all, it is possible to get a.m. and p.m. in the journal entries, so why not in the main data entry field in the upper right-hand corner? The plus and minus buttons do not serve any function in this template, which is confusing. When I press them, my data entry gets deleted and replaced by a "+" or a "-". It is a steep learning curve for such a simple app, and the functionality is still lacking in many ways. It is a promising app because of its versatility – it is a great idea to have an app that can track just about anything. However it needs some re-tweaking of the user interface, as well as some serious rethinking about the various ways in which people would want to use an all-purpose tracking app.
  • Not for business expenses, misleading claims to get you to download and subscribe.

This is the app I use most. Almost infinitely flexible - you can use this to track just about anything. It's impressively stable, and the sync and backup options are great.

I'm an entrepreneur and I use this to track my daily/weekly income and expenses. It's easy and intuitive. Sometimes it gets weird when you try to edit. But other than that, I love this app!

Overall recommended 👍👍👍 Other thought... initially no ad then a few months ago saw ads so I stop using it. I just looked again seemed no ad. My advise price it reasonable so sell in volume, ad thingy is a big turn off.

I use this app pretty much every day to keep myself organized. Love the password feature for sensitive info too.

Downloaded the app to find that it has the same features as free apps, although you have to pay $10/year for this. Now trying to cancel it, there's no explanation on how to and there's no where to find how to cancel it. I now have to email the company to cancel my subscription that i had to agree for before i even tried out the app.

I really like this app, but there are a few suggestions I have that would really increase my enjoyment of it. 1) For recurring tasks, I wish there was a way to set a custom schedule. For instance, I have tasks I need to do on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but the closest option I can get for scheduling is Every Two Days, which doesn't work with our weeks having an odd number of days. I also wish there was a way to filter my view to only show tasks due those particular days, and the ability to have a link note for each task, for instance to open an Evernote note with more details. (I've been using Fantastical somewhat successfully for this, but would like to pull these goal-oriented tasks into a more trackable arena.) 2) It's petty, and I know they're very proud of the icon, but I just don't like it. It looks very outdated next to the other app icons on my screen, to the point that I'm almost embarrassed to have it on my front Home page, and indeed I cringe every time I see it there. I just wish it was more modern or conceptual or something, rather than just being the footprints. 3) Also concerning the icon, I wish there was an option to change the color of it in Settings rather than having to download another version of the app, which makes me nervous about retaining all the info I've plugged into my current version (even tho I do have it synced with iCloud). 4) The icons for the included list templates are nice, but I'd like to have an option for customizing the icons for lists I create. As it stands now, the icons for my lists based on templates give me a nice visual indication of what it is, but my created from scratch lists are generic and visually difficult to differentiate. Otherwise, it's a really versatile app for any number of things, and the more I mess around with it the more useful I find it to be!
