  • My favorite tool

    By Ano-nym-ous
iThoughts is the best mind mapper for iOS, period. It has excellent support for attachments and is more than just a brainstorming tool. For me, it replaced Evernote and Onenote as my project tracking and data management application. With a functional Windows desktop version and encryption support, it’s nearly perfect. The only two features I would suggest are the built in alarms and Face / TouchID unlock of encrypted files. I would also be more willing to trust this app with really sensitive data if the developers elaborated more on their encryption implementation and how it was vetted.
  • Awesome upgrade to awesome progream

I've been a huge fan of iThoughts on both the Mac and iPad. It is one of the most intuitive mindmapping programs I've discovered on either platform. It's amazing export/import functionality means that I can easily mesh it with other programs when needed. The new outline function is just amazing. The developer just keeps improving the program.
  • Remarkably intuitive!

Well designed user interface. Operates as expected out of the box. Very easy to customize. Many useful features easy to find in secondary menus.
  • Makes the iPad a true creative and organizational tool.

This app is one of the true gems that makes the iPad so useful. I use it for creative sessions and detail-oriented organizing alike. Elegant interface, deep function set, and excellent options for moving information to other apps. Highly recommended.
  • Back to it!

I came back because of the outline view. It is important to me to put ideas out of my mind into a canvas to extend the purpose of the ideas. The outline is to manage and organize once is on canvas, great! So maybe, iThoughts could integrate a complete outliner for a complete workflow?
  • Doesn't sync w/ dropbox anymore

What should be a nice app is non functional and idiotic to navigate. I'm a user of this Mac software for years. I would still be using the older app but was forced to buy the new upgrade for $10. Looking for better options now.
  • Great App

Thank you. You have consistently been so thoughtful regarding the needs of people who think visually - and your innovations aren’t garbage - things that one can actually use. Seriously. Great job. Export is tight. This is the perfect staging ground.
  • Great app!

This is a great app with a ton of great features. The best thing about it, though, is the involvement of the developer. So many apps now are not being supported or being upgraded only when a new iOS version comes out. Toketa keeps everything up to date, is very responsive to email questions, and does a lot of upgrading and adding new features to the app. I would highly recommend purchasing and I use it all the time at work and at home.
  • Awesome, but could use a few tweaks

I love the features on this mindmapping software/app. First I love that I can view it on my iPad or iPhone and it also syncs with my computer (although that is a separate expense which is high in my opinion). Secondly it is user friendly. I have also used XMind recently and that is not nearly as user friendly as this app is. Also XMind’s help files are not nearly as helpful. I do wish there were more formatting options like icons - xmind has more of them. Flags, emojis, task progress, stars, people, arrows, symbols, and months/weeks, priorities (numbers) that are all very colorful (being able to choose the colors of the icons would be great also - xmind can’t do that). In addition on the Mac it is easier to navigate XMind with a tab for children topics (sub-topics) and enter for sibling topics. I wish that were the case with iThoughts software.
